Implementing Cost Effective Products Into Your Business

Some are in shock, others are rejoicing. As you already know, Barack Obama has been re-elected as President of the United States. With national unemployment at 7.9%, the national debt at over $16 trillion, and uncertainly over how the healthcare law will affect businesses, many were surprised at the presidential election results. Yet, America moves “forward.”

Facing a national fiscal crisis, President Obama’s to-do list has only increased since his time in office. Currently, massive defense cuts, cuts to social programs and tax hikes are set to kick in come January. Furthermore, Stocks fell hard the day after the election; the Dow Jones lost over 300 points and continues to slide.  Obviously, something must change regarding the economy.

A large consensus agrees that Obama should do the following:

  • Rethink higher taxes on stock gains.
If Obama allows the Bush tax cuts to expire and rates on capital gains rise from 15% to 20% and dividend income goes from 15% to the higher individual tax rates, it will reduce the attractiveness of stocks.
  • Lower the Business Tax Rate

Currently the world’s highest, (at nearly 40%) America’s business tax rate is      ineffectually high and is driving business away from the country. President Obama needs to encourage new business startups as well as encourage existing businesses by lowering business taxes, not drive them away by raising taxes.

Much uncertainty exists regarding the future of America, yet some things remain. For example, business services such as scanning, shredding, storing and electronic management systems are still entirely relevant and cost effective to businesses. Through the Democratic Republic form of government, the American people have the right and an obligation to vote and to change their own communities. Even though you cannot singlehandedly change tax rates, you can have an impact by implementing cost effective products into your business such as Electronic Document Management. In doing so, you save significant amounts of time AND money.
